In Prozac nation we need to find a way to adapt to the tools of the enemy. It’s way too easy to tune out and allow ourselves to be distracted with the many toys and temptations of the simple pleasures surrounding us.
We are given so many easy ways to ignore the day-to-day chipping away of our economy, our liberty and our very ability to have some control over the kind of world we wish to live in.
Who to trust? Who to believe? Who wants to live a life in fear and paranoia anyway? Much easier to carry on and overlook some aspects of the new game we find ourselves playing with the people in power. Until it stops being easy because it has become tragic.
